In 2005, RVDAC incorporated a separate, obedience training school as part of our Sunday morning agility sessions. Since then it has become a popular and integral part of the club with many members successfully graduating from our obedience and puppy classes to the agility courses.

With the same friendly attitude, we offer our training is conducted with the emphasis on positive reinforcement - so bring treats!

We do not use 'choke chains' simply a well fitting collar and a normal lead - not flexy. Wear sensible shoes as we work on grass which is sometimes wet. You need to allow your dog to be around other dogs as much as possible throughout its life and training allows this under controlled conditions.

Classes are open for any dog whether you have a puppy or an older/rescue dog and run year round and in all weathers.

We also offer one-to one sessions with our chief trainer, Peter Staniforth. These can be booked for an additional fee.
