ABOUT THE CLUB

Rother Valley Dog Agility Club opened on 6th October 1985. For 40 years, the ethos of the club has been to train Dog Agility in a safe and secure way by providing clear and strong foundations.
Agility is a fun and exciting sport and at RVDAC you can learn and train in a beautiful lakeside setting. Because all our sessions take place outdoors, we are, unfortunately, at the whim of the English weather. This means, most years, we restrict our Agility season to the Spring and Summer months of April through October. Although, we will continue as long as it is safe to do so. Check the home page for 2022 dates.

It can be fast and furious, but don't worry if you are concerned about keeping up with your dog. At RVDAC we encourage handlers to take agility at their own pace.

Obedience
Over 10 years ago, RVDAC has added year round obedience sessions to our training program. Suitable for any dog at any age, our obedience classes have become incredibly popular and can be the perfect foundation for transitioning into our agility or working trial sessions.

Working Trials
Based around police dog work, Working Trials are a combination of nose work, agility and control. Any breed can take part, although the agility section can disadvantage the smaller breeds. Training your dog in working trials can be extremely rewarding and fun. Our sessions take place during the Autumn Winter season.

EQUIPMENT
Agility tests your dog over a series of obstacles. At RVDAC we lay the courses out on 'The Green' by the Watersports centre.
